Below is an interactive map of Sarah's journey (it may take a minute to load). Using the gray menu bar, users can zoom, change the basemap to an image, US topographic, National Geographic map, or street map; locate themselves on the map (the target button); view and zoom to bookmarks; change the layers displayed; bring up an overview map; measure distance, area, etc.; print a portion of the map to a PDF; and link the map. Also, by clicking either on a portion of the trail or a camping spot, users can see details about the trail and snippets of Sarah’s diary entries for that particular date. Some of Sarah's diary entries are hard to read. While transcribing Sarah's diary, considerable time was spent attempting to render the diary exactly as she wrote it. No attempt was made to correct spelling, grammar, or usage. Diary entries ending in an ellipses (...) are snippets.
